A Seminar on Tafseer, Politics & Power

Humans have an extraordinary fascination with politics and power... We even like to name things in a lordly fashion. The "chair" as we call in Pakistan, a seat in the Parliament or any seat of power per se, is highly coveted and sought after.

They say that with power comes responsibility, but a study has proven that there is a degree of contempt for others and reckless behaviour that is brought on when one has held on to a powerful position for some time with little or no restrictions. Unless, we have some means of staying in check with our feet on the ground.

Every individual has power and authority in some aspect of their lives - 
how do you wield that authority?
Is it within right or reason? Are we responsibly effective with our power?

We shall discuss that and more
in context of the two kings and a queen from Surah Namal.
